QUOTE OF THE MONTH
"We liked using many styles,
from German schlager to
Italian ballads, French chansons
to the Anglo-Saxon pop world.
So we tried our hand at
everything, I think"

Can you believe it?....

.....that one of Benny's and Björn's (BAO) songs of the "O Klang Och Jubeltid"(Benny Andersson Orkester) album is now on rank 1 in the "Svensktoppen" charts since 5 weeks!? The song in the charts is "En Dag I Sänder". I'm curious how many weeks it'll remain on rank 1 :)

Why I don't like ABBA as much as I did 1 week ago.

...well i have to write it down somewhere and which place is better than this blog?

So the simply reason is: Björn's ( and I think also Benny's) attitude towards religion. Maybe it's wrong, but however. I always knew that Björn (and Benny?) is an atheist and honestly I didn't care until now. I found that video from some event in Sweden, where a woman performed the Swedish version of "Thank You For the Music" and I was kinda shocked about the line "who needs religions?". Being an atheist is one thing, but this isn't just unnecessary, it's propaganda for becoming an atheist and that's simply stupid and sh*t.
I also commented on that video, here's my comment:

---This is the first (and hopefully last) time I say "this simply is sh*t" to comment on an ABBA song. Why do atheists ALWAYS stand up and say "I am an atheist" ?Turn around, go away and shut up.

"Thank you for the music" actually is a nice song, but now it isn't a song anymore to me, now it's propaganda for not being religious.----

Actually I never really cared about the song "Thank You For the Music", I just thought "nice song" and now I can't stand it anymore, simply because of this dull Swedish version.

Now when I listen to ABBA I still like the music and it's still my favourite band, but I always remember Björn's attitude (saw an interview with him too) and that song, so I like ABBA much less....as sad as it is. I KNOW that the music recorded by the original 4 doesn't have anything to do with Björn's atheism, but still I don't like them as much as I did before.....

I don't think, that Frida is an atheist (at least I didn't read anything about her being an atheist) and I don't know anything about Agnetha's religious attitude, so just leave the girls out of this post :)

If someone wants to comment some crap like "let others state their opinions too" or something else like this: Keep your opinion to yourself. I don't care about those opinions anymore.

Am I behaving childish? NO, because I want to keep this blog an ABBA blog, do you understand? If you don't: You don't have to visit my blog

Quote of the Month

"Our platform shoes were made in London, and every time they had to have bigger heels !"

Video of the Month

Another thing I want to try :)
A song of the month (maybe will turn into "Video of the Month" in a while:))

The song of the month is "En Kväll Om Sommarn" sung by Frida together with Lars (Lasse) Berghagen.
It's such a cathy tune !
I posted a vid made by me with pictures of my trip to Denmark (and actually Sweden) from 2010.

AND DON'T FORGET : February 16th on BBC Radio 4 there's the programme "Like an Angel Passing Through My Room" where Christopher Green talks about his admiration for Frida and about meeting Frida in 2006 at a dinner party!

Other News:----A German schlager singer wants to sing something with Frida !
(I think they won't sing anything together anyway)
----Frida maybe is going to be a honorary citizen of Plauen

Frida and Björn Autumn/December 2010

The Nation' s Favourite ABBA Song

~Björn and Frida have already recorded a series of "revealing" interviews which will see them "reveal all about their time in the band" and want ABBA fans to vote for their most beloved track to form part of a countdown on the programme.

In the programme promotion Frida said, "Discussing all of our singles was great fun. There are many fond memories - memories about writing the songs, recording and promoting and performing them."
Björn added, "We're all curious and excited to see which songs appear where in the countdown. The British people took us to their hearts, completely... and made us their own, which we are very proud of. It's very nice to come to England because it's like going home."

C
arl Magnus Palm will also be interviewed for the programme~

The show will be broadcast : Sunday 5 December 2010 at 9PM on ITV (UK)

Please help me !: If you can see shows on ITV and if you can record it on DVD , it would be so nice , if you could send me a part/parts of the show !Because I want to upload some parts from the show to YouTube , if you'd send parts to me , you will of course be mentioned on my video !

Kristina från Duvemåla(news)

News(April-Now):
.)On April 14th there was a concert in Vienna (XD), where some songs out of Kristina were performed.
.)B&B and their swedish team/family members were luckier than some fans ,when the volcanic ash cloud grounded all flights just after the Kristina concerts. They managed to get home after a gruelling 30-hour journey by coach ,ferry and train
.)There was a concert at Royal Albert Hall

What

This picture was taken at the Royal Albert Hall, after the concert "Kristina från Duvemåla" .
Benny looks very surprised , I wonder why ?

Maybe , maybe.........

I´ll meet Benny and Björn and evetually Frida too at a concert , or I don´t know at the "Birgit Nilsson Award Ceremony" in Vienna .

Yes it´s a quite funny story .
My mother was listening to music on the radio and then she took part on a raffle , where you can win tickets for this concert , where a part of B&B´s musical "Kristina från Duvemåla" will be played and they said , that maybe the two B´s and maybe the last A will visit this concert and yes , she won !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!My mother , never winning anything , winns such a great thing .
She said to me that she´ll come with me and that we´ll try to go backstage , or just wait , to get autographs , photos and maybe a little conversation with the ABBA members .
But maybe they won´t come :(((((((((((

I hope , hope , hope , that they´ll come !!!
